For our fashion flashback we went straight to one of the best old movies about renewal and new beginnings—”The Color Purple.  Shug Avery, the equally troubled but seemingly more empowered character to Celie, returns to the South as a happily married woman.  The baby blue ensemble that she wears for her second homecoming in the movie is not easily forgotten.
